Kinky Pants Suit

I read the line in the fourth panel as, "...Mary Worth's kinky pants suits..." I thought, no wonder Dr. Jeff and Mary has not had sex yet, Mark Trail stole her kinky pants suit and Jeff can't get turned on unless Mary wears it.

Then I reread the panel. Oh, kicky.

I need to get my eyes checked, the online comics need to be bigger and I need to get my mind out of the gutter.
Guy in red sweatshirt, the Vulcan nerve pinch does not work on Mary Worth. Give up now and follow your brother to the parking lot. Orange jacket wants to take it to the parking lot, not for a fight but to get the hell away from Mary before she opens her Sam's Wholesale Club sized can of meddle all over their ass. The guys names are Rich and Ron but I forget who is who and I don't care that much to look it up.
I would do the same thing if I did not have the tendency to keep a death grip on whatever stable object I could find while riding on a motorcycle. It has been over 20 years since I rode on a motorcycle. I would enjoy the sight of a bubble blowing Harley rider.
Unfortunately, no college offers getting paychecks as a major.

Variations on a Gag

Bonus avatar courtesy of Rex Morgan MD:

Variations on a gag:

Sometimes, I feel like Dilbert in the last panel after going through yet another anti-racism/ anti-oppression/ embrace diversity workshop or presentation.

In the United States, the dentists wear masks to protect the patient. I would think that the set up in the last panel would make access to the teeth more difficult.

Who hasn't dreamt of this happening?

You might be a tad obsessed with Mary Worth if you find yourself attempting to imitate the poses as drawn. The hand pose in the second panel is doable but a tad painful. No, I can't draw hands any better. I know alumni from the University of Texas (t.u. for us Aggies) and other schools with that shade of orange as a school color would love to know where Dr. Drew purchases his lab coats. The matching pants can be found easily.

Buddha had it way too easy

I've looked at this strip several times and in different venues. For some reason, I see the wall in the middle panel as hanging and not quite touching the floor rather than an intersection of the floor and wall. I found it distracting but at least Scott Adams is trying new perspectives. I found the phrase, "I curse your dinner!" very funny.

Brilliant!

Try meditating with a lightning alarm going off on a sunny day or a group of Junior ROTC students marching and chanting very disturbing things. At least no one has touched me or tried to witness while I meditated. I don't make noises and I don't do the finger to thumb thing.

Dr. Drew Cory - Mr. Smooth. I love a man whose hair highlights matches his wardrobe.

Worthy Endeavor

One of the local radio stations converted to one of those "we will play anything" stations. Does not suck as much.

Leroy's man teets scare me. Great work on capturing the Lockhorns style. Would have worked better if Loretta had a black eye.

Somebody has died recently and as punishment for their sins their soul has been placed into a minor Mary Worth cast member. How long will the deities punish this poor soul?

Guess he needs to change it to Lone Stump Ranch.

Last night was semi-literate, equipment hog night at the gym.

How hard is it to match the numbers on the dumbbells to the numbers on the rack?

In an environment in which equipment is shared you cannot do immediate transitions to different exercises. Sorry. Yeah, I'm talking about you Ms. hoard the 12.5 pound dumbbells while doing your step ups! I could have done my 12 reps and two other people could have done 12 reps each by the time you switched to the exercise that required the 12.5 pound dumbbells. The most time that you would have to wait between exercises is 30 seconds except when there are dumbbell hogging idiots around. Get a home gym if you want to immediately switch exercises or do body weight calisthenics instead.

Today's comics:

Comics page editors have so much great material to choose from but yet Cathy and Drabble are still in the papers. I want blinky lights on my shoes.

Another cartoonist breaks the fourth wall. The girl's brother is grappling with the implications of what his sister just did.

Get out of my head! Who has been sending this cartoonist my fantasies?

Vera run! A nicer apartment is not worth your soul! You can hang pictures, paint or even wall paper a bit. A few plants can help make your present dwelling habitable. My god, Mary Worth already has her soul sucking face on. Vera, that finger of death can poke straight through your sternum.

The King Features feed to Chron.com is malfunctioning so I go without my Mary Worth fix. Fortunately, things move so slow that I won't miss anything.

I think this should be its own genre: comics about comics that will not go away.

One of the more interesting criticisms I've received about A Perfect World; "makes Cathy Guisewhite look like Oscar Wilde". Some of my cartoons suck but I don't think I make Cathy look that much better.

A guaranteed laugh: a fart joke. Even funnier: a dog fart joke.

In my experience, dogs are not offended by smelly farts. Strange, since they have such a keen sense of smell. Once, I farted in Loki's face and said, "Now, you know what it's like to share a room with you." He lifted up his head for a moment, looked at me and then put his head back down and went back to sleep. I guess he was unimpressed.

Last night, I posted my 1,500th comic. I've drawn over 1,500 comics. I need help.

Holy crap, Stanley! You're about to explode!

At least Harriet is wearing a less dangerous bra.

The characters are named Stanley and Harriet Parker. I had to visit the King Features website to find that bit of information because nobody ever mentions names.

According to my Red Cross Blood Donor card my last blood pressure reading was 104/62, so in doing the math that equals 52/31, so actually I'm a zombie.

Mortimer Creech is a great name. I want to meet someone named Mortimer Creech. Mortimer Creech , it's fun to say. I like the way it feels. Mortimer Creech, Mortimer Creech, Mortimer Creech, Mortimer Creech, Mortimer Creech, Mortimer Creech...

Yes, we can make a difference without interacting with the sick, deformed Asian children.

This comic does demonstrates why I don't like to draw multi-panel comics. As a non-professional cartoonist I have the tendency to worry about little details like where everyone is sitting and try to maintain some continuity from panel to panel or at least make clear something happened off panel that would cause a change in seating arrangement. Apparently, a professional cartoonist does not have worry about such details.

If something happened between the panels of this comic that caused Mary to go from an aisle seat to a window seat then it is the responsibility of the artist to indicate that. An onomatopoeia would be useful. I propose FLURMPH to represent the sound of the space inside an aircraft folding and unfolding thus causing the passenger seating to switch sides. A side effect of the FLURMPH is that everyone loses interest or that they are resigned to the fact that Mary and Jeff are not going to shut the hell up despite the withering stares.

Today is my birthday. I'm 38 years old.

This one is funny because I'm a UU and a Hummer in the church parking lot would have to have bumper stickers explaining all this. I like Bizarro.

If only it were true Lio. The comics in my local paper is a half page.

Lame shriek of fear.

Ha! Mary Worth! The tables have turned. How do you like being a captive audience? By the end of this flight Dr. Cory will be on another plane to Hanoi and you will have bought the ticket. Today Mary Worth discovers forgiveness and redemption. By the end of this trip Mary Worth may become a full fledged human being.

One day I'll get the hang of the laying out picture and text in a blog entry.
