Coloring Demons

Not only did Venus pass math in 6 weeks, she got a tan and dyed her hair blue just like the teacher. Maybe reverse Vitaligo.

Lessons from the comics: Never scare a miniature horse while inside the house. Never scare the daylights out of any animal unless a good distance away otherwise you might end up with daylights all over your shoes.

A Pit Bull?!

Oh my God! Pit Bull!

The local Libertarian party's marketing strategy. I agree with most of the Libertarian Party platform but I can't stand the people involved in the party.

High Art

Giella attempts to imitate great French directors or Ingmar Bergman with his layouts.
Convert to gray scale, add more black, translate the dialogue into French and voila! high cinematic-like art. (Disclaimer: Digital Strip (the font) does not contain accented characters so the French translation is not perfect and I used Babelfish).

I would buy a lap top with the logo that Danae has, even a Mac.

I wouldn't buy an iPhone but I could use the same justification for purchasing a Razr 2 or an EnV.

Dust Speck!

The Gumbos have the same intelligence level as a kitten.

Darth Vader in drag. Ha. Darth Vader would look better in a little black dress than Ann Coulter. Some argue that Ann Coulter is in drag.

and harassment by the police because of complaints from people thinking it's not a cannonball. You will be forced to become a recluse.

What's up with Mary's eyes in the second panel and is Drew's mascara running? What is the purpose of mascara? I've seen countless commercials touting the "benefits" - long eyelashes, etc., but I've never heard a man when describing a woman who has captured his attention describe her eye lashes. I've never pay attention to someones eyelashes unless my attention is drawn by running mascara or tons of it applied to the lashes or obvious fakes. This causes me to think, "Wow, that is a shitload of mascara there." rather than, "Wow, she has beautiful eyes." Mascara does not draw my attention to the eyes and if I notice the mascara then I'm distracted from the feature that the wearer wanted to highlight in the first place. This may make me seem geeky but I do not see the benefit of time and money spent on make up.

My local paper runs this comic strip but reduces it so much that it is barely readable. They wonder why people turn to the web.

A different Pluggers premise from the usual, Pluggers are fat, lazy, poor, old and apathetic. This one: Pluggers are disgusting. Wait maybe it is not new - Pluggers do not care about their cats or their children. Apathetic.

The Oyl's greed shocks Popeye. I never thought of Popeye as a socialist. This will turn out badly in order to maintain the comedy.

On spell check the first suggestion for Coulter is Colder. How appropriate.

Finding meaning

Wow. Mort Walker must be reading the Comics Curmudgeon. There have been comments implying a relationship between Sarge and Beetle beyond professional. A relationship violating several army rules. Mort Walker acknowledges that we are reading a lot into it.

Maybe Jim Davis has gotten out of his slump or has hired a new writer. I found this amusing because I own a dog with a huge tongue.

Yesterday, I discovered an alternative to mace. I ate some pork sausage and a bit of grease squirted on my shirt. I let the dogs back in the house after I ate. Loki smelled the bit of grease and he would not stay away from me. He leaned on me, barked at me when I stopped petting him, followed me very closely and tried to get in my lap. I took off the shirt and Loki grabbed it. He obeyed I told him to let go. After I changed shirts, Loki returned to his normal self.

Next time I take Loki for a walk I will carry a spray bottle of pork sausage grease. Spray that on a potential threat instead of mace. I don't think Loki would eat someone slathered in pork grease but he would pin them down while he licked the grease off.

Your caricature stinks when you have to put a label on it.

Can never go wrong with a fart joke. I know people who find happiness in being offended. They don't realize that offense is their source of happiness but if they were not offended by something then their conversations would be very short and their lives would have less meaning. My better self feels pity for them but my usual self finds them really annoying. My evil self wants to give them something to really be offended about in the hopes that they would remove themselves from my life or at least talk about something else in my presence or try to find another source of meaning.
