I bought a new pair of running shoes. They feel great. I will stick with Asics.

One month...

One month until the San Antonio Marathon of the Americas

Eep, two days until the Power Pedal Ride and Stride 50K Trail Run
I think I will switch back to my old insoles or buy a new pair of the same style. The new style insoles that I bought are causing blisters on the inside of my arches. I hope the gorgeous fall weather and lower temperatures hold out the entire weekend.

Three days until Crop Walk
The UU Church is now number one and the youth member online now is the number one fundraiser with the church. There are other walkers and more donations received offline. Brazos UU is making a big comeback to this event.

Happy National Coming Out Day!

I catch the heat of the day. I ran in some new shoes with new insoles. I might try the shoes with the regular insoles for comparison. Rabbit Run Road is a challenging road and I would have enjoyed it more in cooler weather. I saw a couple of Coonhounds and a Bloodhound out and about. I stopped and petted them. Very beautiful dogs. Spring Break is over and I'm back at work. I really needed the break. Tuesday before the break I packed my running shoes in my gym bag. I got to the gym and discovered that I had one of each of two different shoes. I ran with the Asics on my left foot and the Nike on my right foot. At least this was better than the time I packed two right shoes.

I love the random fits of insanity that the characters display in Ballard Street. Not everyone's kind of humor but I find it hilarious.

The old needs to make way for the new.

Can Vera afford an apartment at Charterstone? She's probably depressed about the crappy apartment locater service she used. Probably convinced her that the cracked plaster is that "shabby chic" that all the trendy interior designers are talking about.

Send in the clones! With so much brilliance to choose from why is Momma, Cathy, B.C., Wizard of Id, Marvin and Drabble still in the papers? There is no reason for mediocrity on the comics page.
