I just found out that Ray Charles has died. A national treasure is gone.

I'll be spending my day off, courtesy of Mr. Reagan, mourning that loss. Ray Charles is someone who deserves a state funeral and the flags at half mast for a week.

I hope that his passing is not overshadowed by the Reagan funeral.

Rest in peace brother and thank you for the gift of your music. You taught my body to move and my soul to dance. Your music touched me.

Ray, you epitomized the best of America and humanity. The earth is diminished by your passing but heaven just improved 100%.

I will miss you.
