A bunch of pictures from my camera phone

Camera Phone - sounds like something from "Get Smart".

Pictures of my latest foster dog, Aurora. She is a lab mix. Weighs about 40 pounds.

Some ugly figurines for sale at a garage sale. What I love about the camera phone is that I can just take a picture then mock the item without buying the item. The rest of the items at this garage sale were quite nice and tasteful. Somebody probably bought one figurine as a joke, then someone else saw it and assumed that these people like this stuff so they bought more figurines like this as a gift. That's why I never have certain items laying around in plain sight in my house.

More pictures of Edgar, the parakeet. He comes out of the cage on his own and allows himself to perch on a shoulder.

I have a scan of the post card on my desk in one of my blog entries. It is a church in Oklahoma City - the church of the future.
This is Isaac, a former foster dog of mine. He still needs a forever home. You can read more about him at http://www.woodstocktexas.org. He loves to stare at the small animals at Petco - hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets. He will stand in one place and stare for 30 minutes or more. The guinea pigs are his favorite.

I've always wanted to do a series called, "Damn, your house is ugly!" Attending garage sales allows me to see a lot of badly designed houses. This style I dubbed The Flintstones meet The Brady Bunch

The house next door sporting the same Flintbrady style.
Some furniture the Flintbradys were selling. The fabric on these chairs really brighten up a room - several rooms, even rooms in other houses.

I actually ate this. I cooked it in the microwave, put it in my mouth, chewed it and swallowed. It did not taste bad. It is Gardenburger's version of a McRib, without the bun. It looked pretty much the same when it left my body.

Running Log

This week I ran 7.14 miles, burned 914.4 calories and weigh 176.2 calories.

Monday: 2 miles in 22:32
Wednesday: 2 miles in 21:01
Saturday: 2 miles in 26:31

Saturday, I stepped on the back roller of the treadmill and injured my knee. I ended up walking most of the final .60 miles.

I'm doing the rest, ice, compression, elevation thing. Ibuprofen helps too.

The garage sales pretty much sucked. Clothes, clothes and more clothes. Just take it to the Salvation Army. One sale was good but the rest were a waste of time.

Running Log

This week I ran 9.41 miles, burned 1195.5 calories and weigh 173.6 pounds.

Monday: 3.26 miles in 35:00
Wednesday: 2.40 miles in 25:00
Friday: 3.75 miles in 45:00

I skipped Saturday because I was tired. I did not run as fast on Friday because I had not fully recovered. Since I'm not training for a race I plan on backing off on the amount of time spent running. Focus on shorter but more intense running sessions and weight training for awhile.

If I run the Miracle Match Marathon in Waco in October I will need to resume training in June or July. I would like to attempt to train for a marathon solo just to see if I can do it. If not the Waco Marathon then maybe take another crack at a 50K if there will be one at Lake Bryan this year.

I recently acquired a book on running for women by the editors of Runner's World magazine at a garage sale. I got a lot of things for free this past Saturday because people did not want to make change for a 5 dollar bill just for a 25 cent item. For a fair number of people the effort to dig around for $4.75 (four $1 bills and 3 quarters) was not worth 25 cents. I will check out the training information in this book.

Garage Sales

Walter and I hit the garage sales almost every Saturday. Seeing some of the items people attempted to sell prompted a few questions too rude to actually ask out loud.

To the woman selling the Baby Einstein videos and other educational videos: I want to see the child demonstrate some form of intelligence. Before investing 50 cents per video I would want the effectiveness of the videos demonstrated.

Kid, explain the Pythagorean Theorem.
What you don't know!
Ma'am, will you take 25 cents per video?

Forgetting my tied tubes for a moment, I believe my child would have an advantage over your Baby Einstein watching child because it would have two parents smart enough not to pay retail for Baby Einstein videos.

To everyone who tried to sell various ab exercisers: Show me your abs.

I witnessed a garage sale first - a person selling a fitness system who actually looked like they used it.

To the person selling the Carlton Sheets zero down payment real estate investing system videos: How much was the down payment on your house?

This week I ran 15.27 miles, burned 1721.2 calories and weigh 169.5 pounds.

Sunday: 13.1 miles in 2:23:15
Tuesday: 2.17 miles in 25:00

Today, I hit the garage sales with Walter and volunteered at pet adoptions. I'm temp fostering Pickles. Loki is thrilled. I shot some video of them playing together. I also shot some video at adoptions.

The fun part is editing the video.

I think I'm addicted to YouTube.

It looks Aldo is receiving a platitude laden postmortem fuck you.

I like eBay. One of the greatest things ever invented. eBay is responsible for a substational portion of family income. eBay is also responsible for a minor annoyance.

Walter and I go to garage sales to find bargains, interesting things and to make fun of people's stuff. Some of the stuff does end up on eBay.

Lately, this conversation has occurred often:

Me: Will you take $X for this?
Seller: No, I can get more than that on eBay!
Me (thinking): Well, then fucking put it on eBay!

If I wanted to pay eBay prices then I would have gone on eBay. It would have saved me the bother of talking to you. Granted, I'm probably going to turn around and sell it on eBay but if you want eBay prices then put it on eBay yourself. Of course, eBay is a gamble whereas I have the cash right now and will haul off the item. No dealing with feedback, shipping, packing and checks clearing. Cash in exchange for item going away. But no, you just have to have eBay value. Well, then get off your lazy ass and fucking put it on eBay yourself. You don't know how? For a percentage of the final sale I'll put it on eBay for you. What? You want all the money? I guess you're screwed. Not only are you not getting my money but you won't get the eBay money because you are too lazy and/or stupid to post a damn auction. The burden of being you must be unbearable.

I visited register.com and found thenfuckingputitonebay.com is available. I think I will purchase the domain, build a site that links to eBay and print business cards with "Well, then fucking put it on eBay" and the url on them.

Would it be overkill to label this post eBay?
