I started the world's most boring thread on a newsgroup.

One of my professors has started the ball rolling on getting some upgrades for my classroom. I hope it can be done. The department has a growing distance education program (http://lutra.tamu.edu/disted/degree.html) and it would be a shame to have it slowed down by substandard technology.
