So, that's the deal

I finally found out what the problem is with my website. My account has been suspended since Nov. 4. I've contacted the "abuse department" at Ipower. I was sent an e-mail informing of the suspension but thanks to Suddenlink's incompetence I did not receive it. Ipower now has my correct e-mail and hopefully they will send me the information I need to resolve the problem.

I hope somebody did not get their panties in a bunch about one of my cartoons.

Hi, I'm with Suddenlink. There could be many reasons for the email not reaching you. Can I ask what leads you to believe it was a problem with our service? Not trying to be argumentative, only trying to understand in case we can help.

Not so much as incompetence as inconvenience. My e-mail resided on an old TCA server. I had to call tech support when I was no longer receiving e-mail. The solution was to change it to suddenlink.net. (For a while I was unaffected by the cox to suddenlink change). The change to suddenlink.net solved my e-mail receiving problem except nothing addressed to tca.net ever got forwarded. I was not promised such a service - I was able to contact almost everyone and change my address on my website about the change but I had some loose ends. One of those being my web host. Anyway, I was venting some annoyance about the whole situation. It would not have been so bad if mail could have been forwarded. I understand if it was technically not possible.

On a tangent: my husband also had the same e-mail problem come up but his could not be changed to suddenlink.

This is Pete Abel from Suddenlink, again.

Thanks for the clarification on the experience. I recall that issue, now, on "forwarding." If you had been on cox.net, we could have provided forwarding; don't remember why we couldn't on tca.net, but do recall hearing the same thing. Not sure I understand your husband's issue; is there something there outstanding I should look into?

Also, based on your Blogger profile, it looks like you're in Bryan, Texas. I know the team there well, including its leader. Any future issues, don't hesitate to let me know (email is best since I don't regularly read your blog!) and we'll do our very best to help resolve. We appreciate and value your decision to stick with our service.
